What is the Leeds Index?
The Leeds Index of Platform Labour Protest tracks labour unrest in platform work on a global basis. Our database and online interactive map sifts data from news reports and other online sources. Since January 2017, we have identified almost 2,000 individual protest actions by platform workers from across the globe.
We are interested in documenting all sorts of actions from strikes and log-offs to demonstrations or legal court cases.
The Leeds Index documents where, when and how workers act against a platform company and the motives that drive such action.
