Wolt Proposes Employment Option for Couriers in Finland After Court Ruling

After a recent court ruling, Wolt has suggested a new way of working. This would allow its couriers in Finland to choose whether to work as employees or to remain self-employed.

Under the current model, couriers operate as light entrepreneurs, and they are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.

If you choose to be a courier with Wolt, you will have fixed terms, including contributions to your benefits paid by Wolt. They would earn 65 percent of the delivery fee. Those who choose to stay entrepreneurs would carry on under the current system, managing their own costs and contributions.

The company is currently collecting feedback, and any changes will be implemented in autumn.
