The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (AMT), a transport control agency in the province of Salta, resolved to fine digital platforms for illegally providing transportation services in private vehicles.
The resolution (No. 437/23) has been published in the Official Gazette, putting more pressure on platforms like Uber: if the owner of a vehicle offering a transportation service through platforms such as Uber is fined, the company or person who owns the platform or mobile application will also be fined.
Additionally, if the fined driver will pay the fine within ten days, they won’t benefit from the reduction of 40% usually provided to other transportation workers.
