February 2025 - Italy - Plea bargain and €21,000 fine for former Uber manager in recruitment case

Gloria Bresciani, the former Uber manager accused of illegal recruitment, has accepted a fine of €21,000 as part of a plea bargain. In the trial, about a hundred drivers had joined as civil parties and then left the proceedings, obtaining damages from Uber Italy amounting to half a million euros: about 5,000 euros each.
