The 12th Civil Court of São Paulo rejected a driver's claim against Uber for unfair deactivation.
Uber is not obliged to keep a person registered as a driver on its platform if it can be shown that he has failed to comply with the platform's rules by refusing too many rides or endangering the physical integrity of his customers.
The judge recognised Uber as "a legal entity providing services, which is objectively responsible for the attitudes of its agents towards third parties".
