December 2024 - Belgium - Sixteen Former Uber Eats Workers Sue Company Over Data Collection and Automated Disconnection Decisions

Sixteen former Uber Eats workers have filed a lawsuit against the company, demanding information about the data it collects and how this data influences automated decisions that result in workers being disconnected from the platform.

The lawsuit, filed on November 14 in the Brussels Court of First Instance, is backed by four organizations: the CSC union, the EgaliBrity Foundation, the Popular Education Information Centre (CIEP-B), and the Human Rights League.

The workers were removed from the Uber Eats platform and banned from continuing their deliveries.
