May 2023 - Uber drivers called to protest in five European countries

On May 30, Uber drivers organized a coordinated protest in five European countries: The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. They called for the end of robot firings, better pay rates and insurance schemes, and more transparent agreements between Uber and unions.

The FNV union made it known that about 35 Uber drivers protested in Amsterdam against bogus self-employment.

Platform workers in Brussels go on strike in front of the UBER offices due to the job insecurity they face and unjustified dismissals.
