The Court of Cassation rejected an appeal filed by Foodora.
Everything started in 2018 when the Turin Court recognized Foodora riders as independent contractors.
In 2019, the Court of Appeal confirmed the ruling. Nonetheless, riders should have some benefits as if they are workers in the logistics sector. The labor law should classify their job as between salaried and independent work.
Foodora appealed. In March 2023, the Court of Cassation rejected the appeal.
