Only two of Belgium's largest platforms - Takeaway and Ring Twice - their workers earn at least the minimum wage after costs, according to a new study from the Fairwork Belgium project.
Only Takeaway could evidence that they offer protection against work-related risks and in the case of incapacity to work.
Deliveroo, Ring Twice and Takeaway could show that they provide terms and conditions in a clear, transparent and accessible form.
Although all platforms have communication channels allowing workers to interact with a human representative, only Ring Twice
and Takeaway evidenced effective due process for decisions affecting workers.
None of the platforms fully met the principle of fair representation.
This resulted in the following scores: Takeaway got 6 points out of 10, Ring Twice was awarded with 4 points and Deliveroo gained 1 point. No points for Top Help and Yoopies.
