Drivers of both Bolt and Uber are staging a week-long strike from April 3 to April 9, calling for better working conditions and safety measures.
The planned protest comes at a time where it was reported that the e-hailing services Bolt omitted to give data on the number of drivers who had died while driving on the app in the past three years.
Meanwhile, the trial for the driver who died at work is at the start: five people appeared in court. Euston Mnguni, 28, was killed while dropping off criminals masquerading as clients in Midrand.
