Lieferando, which belongs to Just Eat Takeaway, reportedly opposed the elections of the works council in Bremen, not providing adequate spaces and preventing digital communication among the drivers.
Lieferando has announced that he will contest the election. It is argued that Bremen is not an independent operating unit because there is no permanent local branch. According to the lawyer for the works council, this is a general problem in decentralized digital companies.
The new works council will have its constitutive meeting on December 28. As long as the election is contested at the labor court, which could take around a year, the body is in office.
