Just Eat Takeaway bicycle couriers will receive a winter allowance of 50 cents per hour until March.
They will also be given new thermal clothing to get through the cold season, and an additional 50 cents in the evening more busy hours from Friday to Sunday.
Not everyone is happy about these bonuses: in Germany, Just Eat riders earn an average of over 14 euros per hour. "That one euro of winter allowance should be added to the hourly wage anyway,", according to the NGG union.
